Palo Alto USYNew Frontier 2009-2010 Chapter of the Year
Mazal Tov to Palo Alto USY (PAUSY), who just
received some major accolades and awards at the Regional USY May
Convention over Memorial Day Weekend. The New Frontier USY Region goes
from the South Bay to the Sierras and includes chapters in Modesto,
Marin, Palo Alto, Peninsula Community, Saratoga, Sonoma County, San
Jose, Sierra Nevada, and Sacramento.

his trip on USY Pilgrimage this summer!

President, who won USYer of the Year!
And to the
whole chapter and particularly the PAUSY Board, Yashar Koach-
way to go- for winning:
~ Rel/Ed (Religious Education) Event of the Year for the Tu b'Shvat Hike
and Picnic. USYers met with Chef Chaim Davids of the Kitchen Table,
shopped at the Mountain View Farmers Market, picnicked at Foothills Park
and took a Kabbalistic Nature hike led by members of Rabbi Matzkin's
Kol High Kabbalah class, Sarah Rovin and Nathan Dinitz.
~Israel Event of the Year for the Paintball and IDF Information Afternoon. Special
kudos to PAUSY Israel/Regalia Vice President Asaf Rotman for organizing
this event.
~ Best Communications (Regional
and chapter-wide). Special kudos to Micah Brown, Communications Vice
President.
~ and finally, PAUSY was awarded
CHAPTER OF THE YEAR!!!
A
special thanks to Magali Cohen for fearlessly guiding our PAUSY chapter
over the last year and a half. Magali will be helping lead a conference
in Israel in June and will be transitioning to full-time work in her
other company, Silicom Ventures. We all thank her for her leadership and
friendship and know that she will always be with us in spirit!
